Just observed male satin bowerbird dancing around decorated bower with blue lid in mouth and `singing’ while female, appearing mesmerized, was in and out of bower, tempted  + crouching in there; eventually got bored and flew off with what seemed to be yellow object in bill

 

this bower may be found by going 1 level lower than the path containing Tom Green’s seat and parallel to his path; proceed along path till you come to identical wooden seat, walk on, ntherly, cross streamlet over stepping stones then stop; for a little further along under shrub on right is the bower, heavily decorated;

have never witnessed this intimate interaction before; went on for long time; c. 4.30 pm
