I goto Tuggeranong library today and looked at TCT. I do noget the impression that it has PBFD. It could have, as it certainly looks scruffy, but it is a young male probably in moult, which could be enough to explain the appearance. The tail appears to have been cropped from the picture. The beak looks normal to me. Either way, it is not a nice photo of a GG. There must be large numbers of much nicer photos among COGites.

Does anyone have views on the picture of the Gang-gang in today's Canberra Times page 12? 
 
It looks to me as though the bird has Beak and Feather Disease and I am thinking of asking the CT to pick a better picture.  I cannot help but wonder that the picture has been chosen because of the 'comical' look of the bird. 
 
Would be interested to hear your comments.
