To assist our U3A friends I visited this area last Sunday in cold, clear and windy weather conditions. The top part was very quiet, no mff but several small parties of weebills and fairy wrens and one Rufous whistler. There was more activity further down and I would suggest an entry near 191, Dryandra St, left side of Canberra Lodge building. On the slope to the higher ground there  was a small mff containing thornbills, fantails,  two pairs of scarlet robins etc with several whitethoated treecreepers nearby plus a whistler.Lets hope the current weather improves to allow a visit. I will be off the scene until 1/8 and will gladly help with U3A  outings of which I am an active member. Terry Bell
