Can someone enlighten me as to the authority that gives permission to access Newline Quarry Woodland for recreational purposes, including birdwatching, etc?
Also, is NSW the only state with Travelling Stock Reserves (TSRs) and is there a similar concept for the ACT?

Subject: [canberrabirds] more late breeding

Passed a Sulphur-crested Cockie this morning, having regurgitated something shoved down its throat, all the while still making begging noises. In Macadam Place, Page, where there are stands of oaks, so possibly the acorns are the attraction. This is the third year the SCCs have had young extremely late in the season in that general area. They couldn’t be holding off breeding till the acorns were ready, could they? b
