I watched pretty much the same sort of playful behaviour of a Corella group of about half that size, at the front entrance to Lanyon on the COG Blitz day last year. (When was that - mid October?).  I suspect they do it a lot, as I'm sure I had seen it before. It doesn't need to be courtship behaviour.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Corellas in Queanbeyan

This afternoon I observed slightly over 100 Corellas on the banks of the Mighty Queanbeyan River, outside and opposite Riverside Plaza.  On getting closer to the bunch in front of the Arts Centre I was able to ID 4 Long-billed Corellas in the mob.

Some of the behaviour was interesting with birds nuzzling each on or around the neck (usually 2 birds, sometimes a threesome) and occasionally one would knock another over and then walk over it.  The walkee didn't seem to object to this but usually returned for another serve.  None of this is listed in HANZAB as curtship behaviour.
