Osprey over Giralang

A very nice bird for your GBS indeed Duncan.  Milburn and I headed out after this email came out.  Our initial searches were fruitless, but after a bit of driving around, the bird flew over our car whilst we were waiting at the intersection of Ginninderra & William Slim drives.  It was heading SW from Ginninderra ck over the peninsula towards the lake near the dam.  We raced after it but by the time we got to McDermott pl we couldn't relocate it.  This was c 3:50 this afternoon.

There was a Osprey circling over Giralang Pond ~1:00 this afternoon. It eventually headed south towards Lake Ginninderra.

Its been a good couple GBS weeks. 3 new species last week (nothing exciting - Fuscous HE, Brown Thornbill, WW Chough), now Osprey.
