I have previously mentioned the rampant advance of the veg, particularly the Typha, at Kelly’s.  See first illustration below.  There is an underlying issue whether the main purpose of management is to provide a refuge or present the wildlife for viewing, or whether both aims rank equally. The present non-management of the veg serves neither.

 

 

The second frame below shows ‘the log’ completely obscured.  The position is similar for the views from other hides.
