There have been small flocks of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters over our house in Carwoola all day. Mainly 2 - 5 with a largest flock (about 1:30pm) of 12. They have consistently been heading for the Hoskinstown Plain. A less seasonal event was hearing a Shining Bronze-cuckoo call a couple of times during the day. In the last 20 years of the GBS there have only been records of this species after the end of March in two years. Such records were more common in the first 8 years.
