Hi! Believe it or not, the pugnacious Rainbow Lorikeets chase the Magpies off from the bits of mince I sometimes feed them. They noisily defend it from all comers, happily chewing away at it till its finished. I'm only glad that they're the size they are because if they got any bigger I believe that pet cats would disappear,but then again that wouldn't be a bad thing. Bob PS- A word of warning, as R Lorikeets are becoming more common in Canberra , you will rue the day if you start feeding them as they will dominate all. |
