G'day,

Getting small flocks (4-6) of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters over the house at Nicholls. Flying from south. Occassionally alighting on bare branches of tress before quickly moving on. Interestingly I am not seeing any of them where I work at Weston Creek. It is close to the river but also close to the dust bowl that is Molonglo estate.

While working in the garden again, small groups have been passing over my house every 10 minutes or so from about 11.30am to 12.30.  Groups range in size from 30 to 6 birds.  I estimate seeing about 100 birds today but probably missed quite a few as I was wearing ear muffs against the noise of my trimmer.
