I can confirm your Western Gerygone

I helped my father band the first of this species found in Canberra (on Mt Ainslie foothills) - a very long time ago.

Bright red eye, Straight nlack beak, no markings on forehead. White markings just above the tips of the tail feathers.

Here's one Mark Clayton caught at Charcoal Tank last year.

Namadgi Visitors Centre this morning. 

Otherwise, there were not a lot of little birds there, but a massed choir of pied currawongs held forth for a couple of hours from daybreak.
