I spent some time at the Fyshwick Sewage Ponds and Kelly's Swamp today. Compared to earlier in the year there were a lot of waterbirds around.
Notable sightings
- Up to 8 darters on Kellys Swamp. Very amusing watching them trying to perch on the barbed wire;
- Little Eagle in beautiful plumage continually patrolling the whole area;
- Several DY Australasian Grebes on ponds 4 and 6.
- An immature MUSK DUCK on pond 3.
