I saw a fruit bat on the wires in my garden this am... after the figs and passionfruit I thought.  Then about 15 cockies arrived... very upset with the bat.  They squawked at it, ran up and down the wire... no response.  Then one brave soul pecked its feet - no response.  Now I am suspicious that it is dead.  They carried on for some time trying to dislodge it.  I then had to go out.  When I returned, there was no sign of bat or Cockies.  I had a look and the bat had fallen into the garden next door - very dead.  I was quite amazed at the behaviour.  Has anyone else seen this?
