Received some interesting replies re above. Most interesting was from a lady in Tumut who reads the COG Archives sometimes. Her family operates a motel and, a few summers ago, a blackbird would perch near the entrance and imitate the sound of the office phone ringing. “The Telstra Bird” was so good he regularly fooled the office staff.
