A Collared Sparrowhawk took a Red Wattlebird in my garden at Ainslie on Saturday. It stayed around Saturday afternoon devouring the carcass and wary of my attempts to get a good look at it. I didn’t see the Sparrowhawk again but suspect it might have been nearby as there were few birds around (other than Cockatoos and a Raven) for the rest of the weekend.
