Hi all,
Southern ACT Catchment Group (SACTCG one of our members) would like to alert you all to the survey below.
Also, I am beginning to collate articles for our Member Group Newsletter. Can you please provide me with an article with information about your group, what you are focussing on and events you are holding? It is great to get an update from all the groups so we can better work together and share knowledge. Thank you!
SACTCG survey We really would appreciate your help with this survey. African Lovegrass (ALG) is a highly invasive environmental and agricultural weed in the region. The Southern ACT Catchment Group is carrying out a project aimed at enhanced education & improved control of ALG infestation across the ACT. This project is funded by an Australian Government Community Action Grant. Part of this project involves conducting a survey on ALG distribution. Sarah Sharp will conduct surveys from our major arterial roads but we really need your help to map the location of ALG in the suburbs, nature reserves and parks and across the rural area of the ACT. Although the primary aim of this survey is to map the distribution of ALG in the ACT, details of infestations in surrounding NSW areas will provide valuable information on rate/method/direction of spread.
