Along the powerline track on the east side of Mt Ainslie this morning there was at least one pair of Double-barred Finches in a small flock of wrens

Flushed one Common Bronzewing from the ground, and another was booming regularly from a tree 30 m away. Do they only call when breeding?

Further along a Grey Butcherbird was calling loudly from high in a tree.
