The COG outing this Sunday 6th February is to celebrate World Wetland Day.  The outing will be to Jerrabomberra Wetlands starting 7.30 am at the Dairy Road carpark.

The Chief Minister has recently set up a Board of Management for the Jerrabomberra Wetlands to help guide the future development of the site as a first class wetland conservation area and educational facility.

We are very happy that the Chair of the Board, Mr Warren Nicholls, has accepted COG's invitation to attend the outing and to say a few words about the aims of the Board, where the Board is now heading and what is hoped for the future.  Warren will also be available for questions during the course of the outing.  COG President, Chris Davey is also a member of the Board as is COG member and past President Dr. Dick Schodde and as we both hope to attend the outing, now is the opportunity to find out where the future management of the Jerrabomberra Wetlands lies and to provide your input into the planning process so that we can realise the potential that at present lies dormant within the Wetlands.

Make sure you enter this important outing to your diary.  For further details see the February Gang-gang in your mail box or on the web
