To avoid possibly treacherous roads in the Brindabellas, Bruce Lindenmayer turned today's outing into a tour along Uriarra Rd, which was very good and took me to a couple of spots I've not been before, so many thanks Bruce. The day's special highlight was a pair of tawny frogmouths and their pair of fluffy youngsters at the East Uriarra reserve. Thanks to Helen M for spotting the nest in a casuarina. Unexpected was a brushtail possum in full view in the hot sun in the top of a euc. sapling at Uriarra Crossing.
