Greetings. over the last 24 hours or so we have had seven emails posted to the list that are sized two, three, four or more times larger than the list's maximum which is 100 kb including attachments.

The reason for the 100 kb limit is to show consideration to people with low bandwidth internet access.

COG is under pressure to prohibit the posting of photos to the list, as this is the usual cause of emails being oversize. There will be no need for such a ban if people simply reduce their image sizes. An image sized 20 kb still displays perfectly well on computer screens.

Please be considerate of others and stick to this simple condition of being a list subscriber.

Thanks - David
