Tawny Frogmouths have bred every year by the fire trail on Tuggeranong Hill for the last ten years, according to locals.  The attached photograph, which was taken last week, was sent to me by a young man whom I met yesterday when I was doing my Woodland surveys.

I didn't get to see them this morning because my dog didn't want to go that way and he can be very stubborn.  Sorry.
