Many chat line participants will remember Joan and Trevor Lipscombe. Joan was COG treasurer for many years, until they returned to the UK in 2005. Well, they are paying a brief visit to Canberra and the south coast next February and have expressed an interest in meeting up with old COG friends for a bird walk. Their itinerary doesn’t allow them to join an ‘official’ COG walk, as Friday 25 February is the chosen day; the venue and meeting time and place will be determined closer to the date, with the Orroral Valley a possibility as it was always one of their favorite spots. To cater for those who need to work, we may try and organize drinks by the lake or a meal afterwards. If you are keen to be involved, do let me know and I’ll ensure you are kept in the loop. Cheers, Barbara
