Hi Trish,
I don't know about Bywong. Is that near Canberra? There has been small
population of this species around Canberra for some years. We do not
know at an individual level whether most or all of them are recent
escapes or releases from captivity or wild progeny of these or through
natural dispersal from their normal range. Likely a combination of all
of these options.

a solitary Long-billed Corella has been feeding with the Sulphur
Crested cockatoos & Galahs around the back lawn this morning in
Bywong. - the first time I've seen one here - could it have escaped an
aviary? Trish Stuart
