The CBN just out carries the Jerry Olsen & ors report on what was recorded in Spring 2009.  We are now seeking reports of any current Spring breeding activity in the ACT of the following species:

Little Eagle (particularly).

Also Whistling Kite, and Swamp Harrier.

We are monitoring the west Macgregor pair of LEs.  So far nests for the other known pairs of LEs, or of any other pairs of LEs, have not been located.  We are happy to check out any possible nests or particular spots where any kind of breeding activity has been seen.  The main purpose is to get a record of all successful nesting, and of any failed attempts.

No doubt goshawk/sparrowhawk nests will soon become apparent.  However, there is no repeat of the intensive survey of these conducted last year by Bill Mannan.   The results of that are still being written up.
