Little Grassbird

I quite often hear Little Grassbirds around there, also further down on the western shore, past the bridge. I recorded them a few times further upstream in last years GBS.

 

At the spot near the fence across the lake I've also seen the occasional Golden-headed Cisticola in the last few months.

Cycling this morning at about  11:15 am, along the south bank of Lake Ginninderra,  near the fence across the lake at Lawson I heard repeated calls of what I took to be a Little Grassbird.   I can’t recall spotting any there before.  However, a search of the COG databases reveals 36 reports since 1987, with the most recent being at the apex of the peninsula in February 2009 and another just downstream from the dam in October 2009.
