Just back from Norgrove Park and in the centre pond area along one of the contrete dividers was this little guy dodging a couple of Purple Swamphens. I could hear two others calling from the area towards the bridge parallel to the road. I haven't seen any of the Spotless Crakes here at Norgrove all year - only a Baillon's in January.
And Geoffrey - re your 'Annoying sounds' I must disagree - there could not be a more sweeter sound!!
