Monday, I went to Shepherd’s lookout.

At the carpark/Dam: Lots of white plumes, a silent white ear (strange), 2 Nankeen kestrels, 1 ‘on’ the nest, the other called near the nest then entered for a short while. The second bird left the nest ~10 minutes later (did they swap??- I don’t think so). A pair of grey currawongs ‘on’ (in tree just past dam). About 20 YFH and 4 WN flew through. 1 WS. Frogs puc puc puc, Rapid- puuc puc pc pc pc (descending), low- Errrk. Need to check my book.

Shepherd’s lookout itself: on dusk- Heard: yellow robin, 3 white throated treecreepers, a whipbird called 27 times on dusk (in the gully to the North), a fantailed cuckoo, grey butcherbird, GST, 12 silvereyes passing through.
