Nobody actually got the other bird.  A little difficult perhaps, but as someone once said ‘wotsits weren’t meant to be easy’.   It was in fact a peafowl flying up to its night roost 20m up in a Yellow Box.  This dusk-time ritual is a feature of the street for those prepared to forgo the cocktail hour.
