Noisy Miners in our yard were very noisy all morning. The object of their interest was an immature Bowerbird, which stayed for several hours despite their mobbing. Eventually it flew off with an NM party in pursuit, like Airforce 1 and an escort of fighters.

Why are NMs so angered by a Bowerbird (there were Currawongs around all morning too, which I'd have thought were far more of a threat). Is it just that the BB was unfamiliar to them?
