They were feeding on both blossom and lerps.  I think the blackish bill indicates an adult female in breeding condition.

after Matthew's message I went over to the carpark at around 3pm -the swift parrots are still there, still being chased by the wattlebirds, but just moving from tree to tree (many flowering gums).  I saw them in same area (but couldn't ID them as they flew over, since I've not seen this species very often in the past) about 2 weeks ago, so they have been around for a while.  Light very poor today, but still got a good look at them
