Uriarra TSR (near Mt Stromlo): I was surprised to find 2 western gerygones at Uriarra TSR last week.. 3 vocal spotted paradalotes. 1 speckled warbler. 1 double barred finch calling stridently. Just when I was about to leave 2 wedgies flew down onto the ground and were then dive bombed for about 5 minutes by 2 brown falcons, before they flew off. 2 kookaburras.

NW Uriarra crossing: I was surprised to find 36 double barred finches with 27 redbrows. The biggest flocks ive seen. A kookaburra.

Uriarra homestead: 2 welcome swallows at Uriarra homestead dam.

Uriarra village woodland (It is looking fantastic vegetation wise)- lots of birds but mainly common. 2 white eared and 2 yellow faced honeyeaters, 2 grey currawongs, a pair of scarlet robins, a few striated thornbills. Lots of weebills. Choughs, 2 striated paradalotes calling.

Condor Creek- 2 lyrebirds, 1 EY robin, 3 scrubwrens. Didn’t find any whip birds, which was why I went there.
