Hi !
Besides the site that Roy reported, there's another excellent website that covers information of the native and migrant waders .  It's called Shorebirds 20/20 and gives lots of tips and illustrations in helping in the identification of these birds and reporting these and other types of waterfowl if you want .     It's well worth having a look at all the different sections and polish up your ID skills on this web site on http://shorebirds.org.au I don't think you'll be disappointed.
