Subject: | Pied Oyster Catchers around Bawley Point |

Is anyone aware of any studies on Pied Oyster Catchers on the South Coast (around Bawley Point)? I've been visiting there several times a year for about 20 years. At the start of this period Pieds were relatively common (although Sooties have always been more common), then I didn't see them for probably 10 years. In my last 2 visits (May and July '10) I've seen a pair of Pieds on the first visit and a couple fo singles on the second visit.
Has there been changes in Pied numbers over this period? Are they making a comeback at present?
