On a walk today with the Aust Native Plant Society starting from the top of Mt Ainslie, we found a pair of Glossy Blacks (male and female), feeding in casuarina.  Initially we heard them crunching on the cones and we then walked about 40 metres uphill from the main track to locate them.  This was on the eastern side of Mt Ainslie (overlooking Majura Valley), off the main N-S vehicle track which follows powerlines.

Also heard a Shining Bronze-cuckoo in the same general area, and earlier a Peregrine Falcon flying over.
cheers
Jenny
