Spotted Pardalotes started nest-building in my compost heap about 10 days ago; they appear to have desisted, but are still hanging around and calling and looking intently at the heap. ??? A Pied Currawong wrestled a largish stick off a eucalypt near the Pinnacle NR, and flew off with it towards Hawker on Monday. And today, I noticed a Masked Lapwing sitting presumably on a nest in the spot where the species has bred regularly over many years, in the middle of a disused petrol station on the corner of Petterd and Ogilby Sts, Page. b
