99-2000 (I think) a pair of S Robins attempted to nest in consecutive
seasons on the upper slopes of Mount Mugga, the nest being predated on both
occasions. At that time there were more insect-eaters around in that area,
such as Leaden Flys. Now, by comparison, it is very quiet in Spring/Summer
- except for currawongs.

Following Milburn's last night I check my records to see that I saw a
Scarlet Robin in November last year at our place at Hoskinstown at 820m.
I remember the sighting There were 2 birds a female with a juv. I was
surprised to see them not far from my GBS.
I do not know if they were from another area or had been part of our winter
MFF.
Perhaps we could especially look for SRs during the summer months in much
the same way as many of us are keeping an eye out for Geffrey's Dabb's
stragglers.
