Riding to work this morning, a calling Golden-headed Cisticola caught my attention in one of the paddocks between Kaleen and the Barton Hwy.  In three years riding through there it is the first time I've seen one (possibly the first one I've seen outside of Jerrabomberra wetlands!?).

It was a welcome sight after riding through the ravaged tree removal happening along the creeklines.  What TAMS have against acacias is beyond me.  Sad to see flocks of thornbills flying around seemingly lost as their habitat is destroyed.
