My daughter had a similar experience. two
years ago she asked some people down the street if she could have the olives
from their trees in their front yard and made a bucketful of beautiful pickled
olives out of them. Last year she kept an eye on the trees on
her morning walks intending to do the same but one morning she saw several
currawongs on the tree gobbling the olives up before they were
ripe.
