Hi All,

As advertised in the April and now May Gang-gangs, COG will be running a pelagic trip from Eden on Sunday July 25th. This trip is now full and I have already noted down a number of reserve passengers for the trip. As such I wanted to see if there was any further interest from the chatline to fill a second trip on the Saturday (24th July). This trip would run from 7am to 3pm (same times as the Sunday trip) and cost $100. This is a fairly standard amount for many Australian pelagic trips. This date is currently free but it would be good to confirm with the charter company as soon as possible.

July should be a good time of year to encounter some of the winter visitors to the Australian east coast - these may include various albatross, petrel, storm-petrels, terns and prions. Eden is often a particularly good spot to see numbers of Shy Albatross.

As with all pelagic trips there is the risk that poor weather would lead to the cancellation of the trip but in this situation the full cost of the trip would be refunded.

Everyone will have to organise their own travel to Eden and accommodation but no doubt their will be opportunities to meet up for a meal and a drink the night before the trip(s).

Cheers Dan
