We have just found some grey-headed flying foxes feeding in oak trees in our
yard in Watson. A first for us here. They are licking the leaves of the
oak. The books we have don't mention this type of behaviour. The trees are
currently producing, as they do every year at this time, some sort of sticky
sap/substance/nectar/?? which drops onto everything.
