Bruce

I had never used a GPS before I bought a GARMIN E Trex from Dick Smith in Tuggeranong for $129 last Saturday afternoon.  I had the coordinates for the K2C surveys entered in before bedtime.  It worked a treat and was very simple to use.

Regards

Lia

Subject: [canberrabirds] GPS - ideas?

My 11 yo Magellan hand held GPS has recently expired, and I am in the market for a new one.

I am looking for a fairly simple unit that is easy to use, to produce grid refs for bird surveys, although if there are other features, that's OK.

Any suggestions? Also where is a good place to buy?

Cheers,

Bruce.
