In today's CT [Times2, p. 9] there is a small notice about an event at CSIRO's Discovery Centre at 12:30 pm tomorrow (Friday 23 April).

Libby Robin and Leo Joseph will be in conversation about the science behind their book, 'Boom or Bust: bird stories for a dry country'.  I have read and enjoyed the book, though there are still important unanswered questions, eg how do birds find the inland waters after rains?.

Apparently the conversation is part of the 'Discovery Science Writers Series'.

I phoned up to book a place and was told 'just turn up'.

NB It does not say where in the Discovery Centre the conversation will take place, so I do not know if you will have to pay to get into the exhibition area.
