Yesterday morning on Fassifern Pond there were eight coots.
Five of them were dependant young aged I would guess 2~3 weeks.
This is curious as I thought there were no coot on that pond three weeks ago.
Can any body age the young more accurately than my estimate
 either from the attached photo (click to enlarge) or because they saw them on the pond some time prior to yesterday ?
