I have decided to start announcement of this walk a tad earlier than usual as it is one of our longer expeditions and thus a tad more organisation than usual is appropriate. In that regard, the COG Committee have agreed that the following form of words should appear in an appropriate spot the next edition of Gang-gang and I thought I'd reprise them here as well "Interested COG members usually meet informally at 9 am on the Wednesday
after the COG monthly meeting, at a location usually decided at the
previous month's trip. Often these trips are notified in Gang Gang.
However, as this is an ad hoc group with no formal leader it is best to
check with a known frequent attendee, or on the COG chat line, to
ensure you hear about these trips" Cutting, eventually, to the chase, to avoid excessive attachmentising I have shown the basic plan for the event on my blog at http://franmart.blogspot.com/2010/04/directions-for-april-wednesday-walk.html. My understanding of discussions at the end of last walk is that the meeting at Spotlight will be 8:30 am on 21 Aprl, aiming to get to Turallo NR by 9am. To facilitate carpooling and ensure that no-one gets missed, could intending walkers let me know their intentions by email to this address or by phone to 6238 2637. In addition a birder visiting from Canada would like (a) to join us and (b) a lift. He will be staying in Barton so if anyone can offer transport for him I would be most pleased to hear from you.
