Joe Forshaw says the Littles and
longbills at that location would be transplanted eastern species.
Margaret - There is now
quite a bit of mixing in the large winter flocks in South Canberra. So
far, more than a half-dozen longbills would be unusual though. g

Subject: [canberrabirds] Mixed corella flocks
In the ACT I have only seen mixed corella pairs, but in
Fremantle recently, I saw a whole mixed flock of (presumably) Western and
little corellas. I did not know it was a mixed flock until I had a close
look at the photos, of which I have attached a small detail. (Sorry about
the size.)
Other photos I took of corellas at play on the ground were
all little corellas.
