There are few ducks on the sewage ponds at the moment.  No doubt they are enjoying conditions elsewhere.  However there are a few Spotless Crakes around the margins of FSP 6.  These are reported from time to time and it is one of the minor mysteries of the local bird scene whether this come-and-go species is, in this case, there all the time.  They are quite difficult to see at this location, but  you can pick them up by their little squeaks, which should become more evident now that the reed warblers have become more subdued during their pre-departure phase.
