My nephew and I walked the Kambah Pool to Pine Island track this morning.  Bird highlights included several scarlet robins near the Kambah end (I think this was same area where the COG walk last year saw robins along the track), 2 grey butcherbirds, a brown quail flushed at Pine Island, and a rufous fantail at the junction of Murrumbidgee River and Tuggeranong Creek.
thanks to Bruce Lindenmayer for last Wednesday's presentation - put it to good use working out which thornbills were in the mixed flocks!
