I was surprised at the numbers in Commonwealth Park.  More than in previous years, I think.  There are probably more than 1000 spread over many trees.  I counted more than 100 in one tree (conifers seem to host largest numbers), others are used by only a handful, like the silver poplars 20m from the sound stage.  Perhaps they gather for the Canberra celebrations, the music in particular.
