the building of the cycle path at Jerrabomberra Wetlands seems to be proceeding apace.  there is now quite a bit of water in Kellys, and the usual assortment of waterbirds, including a Black duck with six small ducklings.  What was surprising  this morning were Magpie larks - I counted 51 in and around the Dairy Flat carpark.  There are swarms of insects everywhere, and the Welcome swallows were also out in large numbers.
