And Geoffrey's picture shows how astonishingly sparse the plumage is on a Darter. They have hardly anything where normal birds have lots of contour feathers to cover the bases of the main flight feathers and their body feathers look like little more than fluff.

Good to see the new darter resting facility on Jerra Creek is attracting a lot of business.  Very easy on the feet, they are saying.
